Trabalhadores Sociais De Singapura Construem Slogan para o Dia do Assistente Social : Involve. Revolve. Evolve

Slogan: Involve. Revolve. Evolve

Involve. We are actively involved in the lives of the people and in the organisations, communities and societies within which we work. Revolve. We speak in the people's voice and our commitment revolves around our clients' well-being. Evolve. We are constantly evolving, working towards positive change.
This slogan is aligned with the Association's mission: "Our mission is people - individuals, families, communities and the social context in which they live. We work towards change through an application of social work principles, knowledge, ethics, and skills to maximise people's ability to copy in their environment and to advocate improvements to conditions that have an impact on their well-being."

Logo:
The circle and 2 arrows represent the 3 elements of the main slogan: Involve. Revolve. Evolve. The circle signifies continuity. Continuity in reaching and helping clients to improve their well-being. The 2 arrows represent dynamism - dynamic in advocating improvements and positive changes, for the people, organisations, communities and societies we work with. This is a parallel to SASW's strategic plan of:
Strengthening the standard of professionalism
Addressing social work manpower issues
Developing and maintaining a strong research and information sharing culture.
Developing and maintaining a strong and distinct image of social workers.
The logo and slogan (Involve. Revolve. Evolve) on the whole represents the essence of the social work profession, which is primarily dedicated to:
Assisting people to manage their problems more effectively.
Improving social conditions.
Advocating for change when change is necessary to better human lives.

The "Stick man" is composed of the initials of the Singapore Association of Social Workers (SASW). It's position in the middle of the 2 arrows is to parallel the logo of SASW while providing it with an up-to-date look. One of the hands has been deliberately designed to be slightly raised to symbolise the social worker's commitment, dedication and passion, painting the image of a social worker proclaiming "Yes! I am a Social Worker and am proud to be one; a professional who is dedicated to working to better lives, communities and societies."

The words "Social Workers' Day" have been designed to be linked to each other to represent the bond that social workers foster with fellow professionals as well as with the people who we work with. It also signifies how lives have been touched through the process.

The choice of the colour Orange signifies Freshness, Newness and Passion. Freshness as reflected by the dynamism of the profession in employing innovation and ideas in the provision of relevant social and community services to people, communities and societies. Newness which characterises the positive changes that ensue; new beginnings, a new chapter, a new journey. And the Social Workers' passion remain instrumental in all these.Download the Social Workers' Day Logo (High Resolution, 1.1mb)Consolation Winners for Social Workers' Day Logo cum Slogan Competition 2006The above logo and slogan was awarded the winning entry for the Social Workers' Day Logo cum Slogan Competition 2006.
